Websites for law firms

Your law-firm website thinks of professional law — not the lawyer afterwards.

We build fast, locally findable law-firm websites at a fixed price — § 43b BRAO, BORA and the mandatory disclosures under DL-InfoV are built in from the start, not patched afterwards.

Hosting in Germany, one fixed point of contact, usually online in 14 days. Factual, precise, understated — the site demonstrates what professional law demands of the firm itself. That is part of the pitch.

Visibility being builtrunning

Most law-firm websites lose the first conversation before it begins.

Cases arise through referral — but whoever is referred googles the firm before calling. In exactly that moment the website decides whether a warm tip becomes an appointment. These points are deliberately diagnostic, not alarmist — the audience knows the risks better than we do.

Does your site confirm the referral — or does it cool the already-warm conversation?

01

A dated business card.

Five to eight years old, sluggish on mobile, no clear practice-area mapping. It comes across — especially after a referral — as less assured than the advice behind it.

02

You feed foreign portals.

Legal tips on anwalt.de & co. strengthen the portal’s visibility on Google, not your firm. A client via the portal stays a portal contact — and the portal can change price, profile and reach at any time.

03

Professional law & imprint left open.

“Specialist”, “best firm in town”, success rates — a generic web designer writes that without § 43b BRAO in mind. If the DL-InfoV disclosure is missing (professional-liability insurer with territorial scope, competent RAK), it is warnable by competitors. The reprimand lands with you.

We do not provide legal advice — but we build to the rules and know the pitfalls.

Profession-law compliant. Locally findable. At a fixed price.

Three things at once — each provable.

01

Found where clients search

Legal search is acute and regional — “family-law specialist Munich”, not “law firm”.

So we build a dedicated, location-based landing page per practice area instead of one collective “services” page, set up your Google Business Profile cleanly and add LegalService/LocalBusiness schema (bar association, practice areas, location, opening hours). That is the basis for being citable as a firm in local search results and increasingly in AI search engines like ChatGPT or Perplexity.

In acute client search, clean practice-area pages and a maintained local foundation beat the big, interchangeable lawyer directories. Lawyer search is also among the topics where Google increasingly serves AI answers — whoever is cleanly structured there has a head start while most firms do not yet appear.

What you see your local position for “Family law + Munich” sits in the cockpit — as a number that moves, not as a claim.

AI recommendations are young and not predictable. We do not promise a place in the AI answer — we build the prerequisites and make the result measurable.

02

Professional law is standard build, not rework

§ 43b BRAO and §§ 6–10 BORA shape what may go on the site. We build to them from the start.

  • Factual self-presentation: yes to clear information, no to flashy superlatives and success rates. “Specialist”/“expert” only with solid proof, specialist-lawyer titles stated openly and correctly.
  • DL-InfoV disclosures complete: professional-liability insurer including territorial scope, competent bar association (RAK), professional-law provisions with citation — exactly the gap generic agencies leave open.
  • Client reviews embedded so that the duty of confidentiality is preserved.

Accessibility (BFSG) — the honest answer: for a pure information / business-card website the obligation is disputed, and micro-enterprises — fewer than 10 employees and at most 2 million euros annual turnover (both conditions) — are exempt anyway. We build accessible technology as a mark of quality — not because we talk you into an obligation that does not exist in that form.

What you see in the short-finding you get a concrete mandatory-disclosure check on your existing site — no blanket verdict, but points on your page.

We do not provide legal advice. The ultimate legal responsibility for content stays with the firm — on request in coordination with your chamber.

03

Fixed price and a lasting asset

Plannable monthly costs instead of a large one-off invoice and an hourly barrel. The code belongs to your firm.

Migration of your content is included, maintenance and updates run through us — not through a firm assistant with WordPress (outdated plugins are a delicate entry point for confidentiality-bound professionals). And if you ever switch: no lock-in.

Plus the part no one else shows: your cockpit. Your own area where you see monthly what your site delivers — visitors, local position, first contacts. In black and white, with no effort of your own. Exactly the client transparency that WordPress and builder kits do not deliver.

What you see every figure in the cockpit comes from your real data — visitors, local position, first contacts. No estimates, no sales pressure, just transparency.

Ongoing proof

Client transparency in the cockpit — not a promise, but figures

Most agencies build a site and disappear. We turn that around: every firm gets a cockpit and a monthly report — the real figures, no polished vanity numbers. Factual, precise, without success rates.

How we work: proof, not claims →

“Yes, but…”

What firms ask us at this point

My cases come through referrals — do I even need this?
The referral brings the contact, the website confirms it. In a profession of trust the referred person checks before calling. A sluggish or dated site can cool the already-warm first conversation. The website does not replace the referral — it makes the referral hold.
Do web agencies build law-firm websites profession-law compliant?
Generic agencies mostly cover only DSGVO and design and leave the lawyers’ advertising law to the firm. mcmedia builds to § 43b BRAO and BORA: no inadmissible superlatives, no success rates, complete mandatory disclosures under DL-InfoV. This is not legal advice, but the typical pitfalls are accounted for.
Is anwalt.de or my own law-firm website worth it?
Portals build their own domain authority, not the firm’s. The entry currently sits at around 79.90 euros per month net for existing customers and 149.90 euros for new ones. Your own website belongs to the firm and remains after every cancellation. Sensible is the portal as a supplement, not a replacement.
Does a law-firm website have to be accessible under the BFSG?
For a pure information or business-card website the obligation is disputed, and micro-enterprises with fewer than 10 employees and at most 2 million euros annual turnover are exempt anyway. Accessible technology is a mark of quality, not a blanket obligation for every law-firm website.
I have no time to deal with content and technology.
You do not have to. We collect the content in a short conversation, take over the migration of your existing site and maintain technology, security and updates continuously. Usually you are online in 14 days. You can maintain legal tips yourself from the Pro tier — if you want, not because you must.

No obligation. No sales pressure.

Start with the short-finding.

We look at your existing website and send you a brief, factual finding: how fast it loads, how local findability stands, and whether the mandatory disclosures are complete. This is a non-binding note, not legal advice — but often the fastest way to see what your site is currently leaving on the table.
